As the Publication Assistant, you’ll work under the guidance of the Internal Communications Specialist, University Relations, to publish and share top notch content for your fellow students. You’ll be responsible for the online layout of YouAlberta stories, which will include: short videos, original features, “Top [insert number here]” lists, photo essays, and interactive quizzes. The Publication Assistant will also be responsible for sharing YouAlberta content on a variety of YouAlberta social media channels.
The Publication Assistant will spend the summer months helping to move the U of A’s internal blogs (YouAlberta and The Quad) to a new blogging platform. This will involve adjusting layouts and updating old content. The Publication Assistant will also use this time to work with the Internal Communications Specialist to develop the YouAlberta social media strategy.

This is a part-time position that will involve the completion of 36 hours in the month of July, and three hours per week (Monday – Friday; between 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) from August 2017 to April 2018.
$15 per hour
